I used to sing a lot, I sang and played instruments at school. As and adult I took part in various musical theatre productions with EROS. A few years after that however I was diagnosed with a number of health issues, one of which, for a while, made it difficult for me to sing and for approx 5-7 years I gave up and didn't sing a note, not even humming, it got to a point where I didn't even listen to music. About a year to eighteen months ago I heard a song, which I came across while browsing on the internet, this had me humming along. After a while I decided to take some singing lessons as my voice was not very strong and I had lost complete control of it after such a long period of silence. Below is the results of my work through the lessons I started about June 2011. You can also keep up with my progress through my YouTube channel - jdarch1

This has been kind of thrown together today. The recording was a last minute thing which took 10 minutes (no corrections made) and I've pulled some pictures together to go with the music. This is basically a comparison between the recording I did about 6 months ago and now, to see if there has been any marked change in my voice, and I wanted to know whether my voice was almost back to normal after a long viral chest infection.
